The Compaq Big Band showcases the power of 15 horns, a cookin' rhythm section, a great feature vocalist. This 20-piece big band has been around for over 35 years, and are a favorite of dancers from all over Boston. There is no doubt they will get you up and dancing as soon as you arrive.

Returning after "wowwing" the crowd last year, Bombay Jim will keep you on your feet all night long! Since the release of their CD "Keep Honkin", Bombay Jim and the Swinging Sapphires have been hailed as one of the country’s hottest swing bands. They were featured on the HBO Series, "Family Bonds", and can be heard on jazz and swing radio stations throughout the nation.

Nov 12: Pre-25th Anniversary "Battle of the Bands", with Eight to the Bar & The Love Dogs! (special admission fee)
A very special night...not to be missed!!
Two of our most popular bands sharing the stage for the first time! They'll each play 2 sets, ending with a double-band finale you're not likely to forget.
Come help us celebrate our almost 25th year of monthly swing dances by coming out to dance to these two great bands all night long.
Eight to the Bar is one of the finest, most energetic bands this side of the Hudson
(and one of our most popular). Drawing its musical influences from American roots music - swing, boogie woogie, rhythm & blues, soul, Motown, Eight to the Bar is known for its outstanding instrumentalists and sophisticated musical and vocal arrangements, highlighted by their double female vocals.
The Love Dogs just celebrated their sixteenth year wowing audiences and critics alike with their combination of great musicianship and pure fun. Led by the crazy and charismatic Ed Scheer, along with a red-hot horn section, barrelhouse boogie-woogie piano, stinging Fender guitar, and a swinging rhythm section, the Dogs combine elements of jump blues, New Orleans R&B and early rock 'n' roll into their own powerhouse sound.
But WAIT, there's more. Hop to the Beat will be performing their latest routine. Come cheer them on!
Check out a video of the two-band Jam!!!
February 11: Sax Gordon and the Little Town Rockers
"Sax" Gordon Beadle is one of the most exciting and in-demand performers carrying on the great tradition of American Rhythm & Blues Saxophone, both in studios and in clubs and concert halls worldwide. With astonishing ability and virtually unmatched energy, Gordon brings rocking sax workouts, swinging classics, gutbucket Blues, and deep ballads alive like no other player on the scene today. Please note, this is a larger version of Gordon's band put together just for our dance!
March 10: Sunny Crownover Swing Band with Duke Robillard
This band played at the Dance Flurry last year and brought the house down! The band was swinging, Sunny was wailing, and Duke was his usual great self. After dancing to them for an hour, I knew I had to bring them to Boston. So, here's your chance to hear a really hot band and dance the night away!
April 14: Sweet Willie D & the Continental Walk

A six-piece band dedicated to preserving a true American Art form...
The Blues! Led by the dynamic singing of Sweet Willie D, the Continental Walk plays
stupendous jump/swing blues that will knock you off of your feet! This is a dance not to be missed.
May 12: 25th Anniversary Celebration/Dance with Dom V & the Swingout Big Band (special admission - $20)
This authentic-sounding big band, led by Domenic Valarioti, consists of 18 of Massachusetts' finest musicians. They will be performing the swing music of Count Basie and Frank Sinatra, as well as many other classics from the swing era. Their annual appearances are always a highlight of the year. And this month they will be helping us to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
